Pruitt’s focus on diversity training began in 1991 while asked to create a diversity training program for the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh, PA.

He has authored several books including Out of the Box (April 2007), Leadership & Advocacy in Pharmacy (March 2007), Understanding Male Power and Its Role in Relationships for the National Basketball Association and African American Males in School and Society.
